Commission for Racial Understanding

Commission on Racial Understanding

Mission Statement

The mission of the Commission for Racial Understanding is to work for healing and transformation in ourselves, our church, and society.

The Commission for Racial Understanding fulfills its mission by exemplifying the following values:  respect, compassion, inclusion, and an appreciation of our unique differences.

Below are some resources we've gathered. Please send additional resource ideas to Antoinette Taylor at ataylor@dohio.org or mdanieri@dohio.org.

From the Book of Common Prayer:

Almighty God, who created us in your image: Grant us
grace fearlessly to contend against evil and to make no peace
with oppression; and, that we may reverently use our freedom,
help us to employ it in the maintenance of justice in our
communities and among the nations, to the glory of your holy
Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with
you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
