Dear sisters and brothers in Christ,
Every Easter blessing to each of you!
I write to encourage your participation in the series of stewardship webinars that the Diocese of Ohio is cosponsoring with The Episcopal Network for Stewardship (TENS). As you have likely heard me say numerous times, stewardship giving is calisthenics for giving our will and our lives to God. I say this to emphasize that, while good stewardship is essential to the functioning of our churches, it is a fundamental spiritual discipline of every Christian.
The webinars begin on the first Tuesday of May and continue on the first Tuesdays of June, July, and August. There is no cost to the parish, and you may have as many people attend as many webinars as you like.
Additionally, the timing is arranged so you can use them to help discern the right people for your 2021 stewardship team and provide training for them in the theology and best practices for stewardship formation, planned-giving, and the development of an effective stewardship presentation for this year’s fall campaign. Many of you already use TENS materials for your annual campaign, so you know the quality of their work.

I look forward to seeing you there.
The Rt. Rev. Mark Hollingsworth, Jr.
Bishop of Ohio
